Born in Turin, Italy, Federico Brunato grew up with a football under his feet and Roberto Baggio as his idol. After moving to the Czech Republic during childhood, he played for FC Viktoria Plzeň — until a chance encounter with a deck of cards changed everything.
As a teenager, Federico began organizing underground €2 poker tournaments for his schoolmates. Forty people showed up for the first, fifty for the second. By then, he was hooked — not just as a player, but as someone who understood the power of the game to bring people together.
After studying International Relations at university, he joined King's Casino as a part-time dealer. Within 4 years, his multilingual ability and relentless dedication saw him promoted to Director of Poker. Six years later, he became CEO of King's Resort — Europe's largest poker destination.
Today, Federico leads a resort with over 800 employees, hosting more than 2,000 tournaments per year across Rozvadov and Prague — including the WSOP Europe, King's Million, Italian Poker Sport, German Poker Masters, and more.
The Journey
First Poker Tournament
Organised his first €2 unlimited-rebuy tournament for schoolmates in a local pub. 40 players showed up. Even then, he could already sense the unique magic this game carried.
Part-Time Dealer
Began dealing cards at King's Casino while studying at university — learning the business from the ground up.
Floor Assistant
Stepped up from the dealer table to assist the tournament director at poker tournaments — getting his first taste of event management and operations.
Tournament Floorman — King's Resort
Signed a full contract with King's Resort as Tournament Floorman, overseeing poker tournaments and cash games across the casino floor.
Director of Poker
Selected for the Director of Poker role at King's Casino. Committed fully, transforming the venue into one of Europe's most ambitious poker destinations.
Two Record-Breaking Brands Launched
Organised two landmark new events: Czech Poker Masters with 6,368 entries and German Poker Masters with an extraordinary 6,957 entries — cementing King's Resort as Europe's top poker destination.
WSOPE Main Event Record — 688 Entries
King's Resort shattered a 10-year-old record for the WSOP Europe Main Event, attracting 688 entries — a new all-time high for the prestigious event.
WSOPE Record Broken Again — 763 Entries
Just one year later, the record fell once more: 763 entries for the WSOP Europe Main Event at King's Resort, surpassing the previous year's milestone.
TOP 10 — Global Poker Awards, Best Tournament Director
Nominated among the Top 10 Best Tournament Directors at the Global Poker Awards — the most prestigious recognition in the live poker industry — competing against tournament directors from around the world.

Two Historical Records Broken in One Month
King's Resort shattered its own all-time entry record twice in a single month. First at the Italian Poker Sport festival in January — 7,007 entries in collaboration with Eurorounders. Then just one month later at King's Million, the record was obliterated again with an incredible 7,558 entries.
